How do I rip videos to my computer with Sony handycam DVD108? The guide says I cant but there has to be a way!

Question: I have a SOny Handycam DCR-DVD108. It records videos straight to a minDVD. Once you finalize the DVD, you can watch the videos on your computer, but there doesn't seem to be a way to rip them from the disk to save to your computer (so you can email them, etc.) Anyone know of a way around this? Any software??
Answers: Here's a helpful website with lots of guides & utilities for backing up DVDs - these would also apply for a finalized mini DVD from a camcorder.

Is there a firewire port on the camera? You might be able to that way and capture it in something like Adobe Premiere. Sony sometimes calls it iLink. If you need any more help with it just shoot me an e-mail.

You might be able to find conversion software to go from VOB to AVI or MPEG
