Panasonic DVD Video Camera?

Question: Have VDR-M50PP vid cam that shoots to mini hard disk. Panasonic gives a disc with a program to off load cam to computer, but it is very difficult to use. I bought ULead Movie Studio 5 to use for editing. Cam has cable with USB terminal and another with S-video + rca component jacks. Software disk has USB driver and DVD-RAM driver. I loaded USB drvr to computer. U lead can't find it. I think USB will give higher qual pix than either rca or s-video(?) How do I get ULead and cam to work? XP software took a stab at it and treated vid as single pictures !
Answers: I thought the VDR-M50PP recorded on mini DVD, rather than HD? If that's the case, you can just put the DVD in your PC's drive and copy it to the hard drive.
No, work with the S-Video or AV Composites.

The quality is going to drop but the incoming file will be as an AVI riff compression instead of a DVD VOB MP2 compression.
