Can anyone tell me about the handycam mini dv cam with 680 pixels??

Answers: The camera you are speaking of is most likely a member of the Sony Handycam mini-DV line. I have a similar camcorder made by JVC, with almost comparable specs, but it is made by a different company. The 640,000 pixel digital still-camera is not that great, especially indoors, and at large resolutions, it appears very grainy. The camcorder, however, is decent in most situations. If you are interested in taking high quality still pictures, look elsewhere, perhaps at a camera which is dedicated to only still pictures. However, if you want a camera for just filming the kids, and also having a still-picture option, this will probably do the trick. Plus, its relatively cheap.($300-400 dollar range) You should check out Sony's site, and also CNET, which has reviews on almost all types of consumer electronics. Good luck!
