Day to Night?
Question: anyone know what a day to night lense or filter is called for a camcorder and where i can buy one?
Answers: it does depend on whether you have the ability to manually adjust the camcorder's white balance and exposure. if so then try turning white balance to manual place an 80 series filter ( ie 80A, 80B or 80C) over the lens and underexpose the shot. Try a few variAtions (eg 80A underexpose by 1 stop, then 80B underexpose by 1 stop etc) to see which particular combination gives the effect you want.
Unfortunately if you are unable to manually adjust the settings then all this is to no avail, because the camcorder will just make adjustments to give the standard colours and exposure
