How do I stop static sounds after I recorded on a microcassette corder?

Answers: There really isn't anyway.

If you are able to manage to put it on your computer as a file then you might be able to lessen the static a little bit, but it will not be compeletly gone.

With audio generally whatever you record is what you get. Its very hard to fix audio mistakes later.
Greetings,

If you can copy the cassette audio to the line-in on your PC, you might be able to improve the sound by using a program like Audacity. (Link below.) Although I have not yet tested this function personally, there is a noise reducer under the filter menu. (We use this at my church to record sermons.)

Try transferring a minute of audio to your PC, highlight a couple seconds of static to let the program know what it is that you want removed, then render the minute and see what the result is. It should not be hard to do and shouldn't take much time.

Hope that helps.

Jeff
