Answers: OK - so your camcorder does have a DV port (aka 'Firewire' , 'i-link' , IEEE1394 ) and that is the only real way to connect to your PC if you want the very highest quality transfer to your PC.

If your computer does not have a firewire card they are very easy to fit and you should be able to do it yourself - but to help you go and have a look at this video :-
