I have a pocket dv 4500 camcorder. I have a mac, will just buying a firewire connection cord solve the problem
Answers: You could use the camcorder on a Mac using a FW cable. However there are certain other things which you may have to consider.
1. What's the Mac OS version you are using
2. IS your camera model supported on a Mac with the respective OS version
3. If you are using iPhoto or iMovie (Mac applications to transfer photos & Videos) check their versions as well
4. If it satisfies all conditions you shall enjoy using it
Moreover most of the camcorders just work with a mac machine. Just that you need to confirm the s/w versions part.
Alternatively contact Apple technical support desk. They'd be able to give you more information on this.
