How can i get footage from a DVD-RW disk in my DVD Camcorder to my computer for editing etc?

Answers: run your camera install disk then just drop it in it show options play save to folder ECT. if you ran the install disk already i dont know ive never had the problem
First, check to see if your camcorder has a firewire port - I don't think miniDVD type cameras do however. Using firewire is the best way to transfer video to PC.

Since you've already finalized a disk, one easy way is to search the web and purchase an app called a DVD ripper. These usually sell for around $30 and are downloadable. Some have demos you can try for free.

This type of software is designed to automatically create AVI or MPEG files from DVD's - as long as they aren't copy protected. Although, there are other apps out there that can defeat copy-protection and allow you to rip commercial DVD movies to your PC. This is what I would do.
