I have a Sony DCR-SR40 HDD camcorder and a VRD-MC3, Why can I only record the camcorder content once?

Question: The VRD-MC3 DVD recorder says there are no images to record when I try to record the video for a second time. The video is still on the camcorder. I would like to make more that one DVD of the content. I did everything the same as when I recorded the first DVD.
Answers: That's the problem with some dvd recorders - their memory says so, unless it has a mode that you can set to burn again or make multiple copies.

Best and faster way to make multiple copies is using a pc/laptop. There are softwares that copy it with just a click.

Have a nice day!
I'm using the DCR-SR100 with the VRD-MC3 with the same results. I think the VRD-MC3 keeps track of what's already recorded from the HDD camcorder. I haven't found a way to record another DVD using the VRD-MC3, but a work around is to use your computer to make additional copies of the DVD.
