Digital camera?
Question: Just got a Samsung DigiMax camera.I took about 10 pictures and it is showing that the battery is low.
Batteries are brand new.Is there a problem with my camera or does it the drain the battaries that quick ?
The battery tester shows that the battaries are. very good
Answers: You need to fully charge the battery before using it for the first time. This rule applies not only to cameras but also to all other gadgets, say cell phones.
There is something wrong with your camera cause i have the same one
As unbelivable as it sounds, the batteries included with new cameras are uaually low quality. Get the best and the most expensive kind of battery it supports. Digital cameras are notorious for power consumption, however if you use the expensive kinds, you should be able to shoot hundreds of shots with it. In cotrast, the low cost batteries might run out even when your camera is not in use. Another tip for prolonging battery life is to use the view finder instead of the LCD screen whenever possible - LCD screen uses battery, view finder does not.
If they're the batteries that came with the camera, then you should replace them. If they're rechargables, then you might need to not use rechargables because the tester could say that they're okay for general use, but maybe not for the camera.
tip -- turn the monitor in the back of the camera off, it really kills the batteries.
