Hey. i jus got a Bluetooth Headset HS820 from my friend, i hav a moto v550 and wanted to kno how to hook it up
Answers: Are you talking about using a bluetooth headset or other device?
Well first you have to get one, then you have to pair (or bond) it.
Then after that, simply turn the device on and it will work.
To bond a bluetooth device to your phone there are some simple steps to take:
First go to Menu
Then go the Settings
Then Connections
Then Bluetooth
Then go to Setup
Now- Turn the Bluetooth device (headset, whatever)- ON
Go back to your phone, and Select HANDS FREE
Go back to your headset or whatever and put the Bluetooth device in PAIRING MODE (on most headsets that means pushing and holding its multifunction buttons - the flashing one - and HOLD IT- AND KEEP HOLDING IT)
On the phone, go to HANDS FREE (if you are not already there) and select it, then select LOOK FOR DEVICES. It will find your Bluetooth now. Select it.
It will ask you would you like to bond? Hit YES. (bonding is good!) Then it will ask you for a pin. Most pins are 0000
(but check the instructions that come with your bluetooth device)
You have now successfully bonded your Bluetooth. You may hang up now
(by the way, you can let go of your Multi-Access button) Congratulations! You did it!
Remember, these are only general tips and hints, and are by no means complete instructions. For complete instructions please read your instruction manual that comes with the bluetooth device. This process will work for most Bluetooth devices and Motorola Cell Phones. Your exact menu displays may differ a bit, but the general outline is the same.
i have the same phone and headset, go to (on the cell phone) menu-tools-connections-bluetooth turn bluetooth on if it is not already and then set it to discoverable, then with the boom of the headset closed, hold the one large button until the light flashes several times on the phone now it will ask you to pair with the headset, obviously you want to so now all that you need it the key, which should be 0000 (zero-zero-zero-zero)
First you charge it for about an hour... (until the blue light goes off) then you have to synchronize it with your cell by opening your cell settings > connectivity > Blootooth > my devices > new device > add.
Immediately is going to start searching for your device and it will be paired to your headset.
So far everyone has been wrong about how to set the Earpiece to Pair mode.
First put the Earpiece in Pair mode. To do this, make sure the boom (the little arm with the mic part at the end) is closed/folded up. Hold the silver button with the phone icon on it down until the blue light turns on solid. KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON DOWN, and then OPEN the boom (you'll need both hands probably). Once the boom is open, let go of the silver button. The blue light should start blinking.
To put the phone in pair mode: Go to Menu-tools-connections-bluetooth... turn bluetooth on (if it is not already) and then set it to discoverable and search for bluetooth devices to pair with.
Once the phone discovers the headset, select it and pair. You will be prompted to enter the code, it is 0000.
Done!
