I bought a phone through Metro PCS. The phone is not working and I am out of my trial period. What can I do?

Question: I bought a phone with the cell phone carrier, metro pcs. Their policy is 60 minuts or 30 days, which ever comes first. I have 80 minutes on the phone, and I am not getting reception with it. I would like to know if I have any alternatives with the phone (ex: unlocking it for another carrier) so that way the phone I paid $200 for will not go to waste.

It is a Motorola v262
Answers: In this day and age it is almost universal to be able to get a phone for free with a two-year contract. I have a Motorola Razr that was free after the rebate and is actually cheaper to use than my regular land line phone.

I am assuming that you had to pay for your phone because you had no credit, otherwise you should have been able to get it with no cash outlay. These plans are everywhere so it should not have been hard to find one.

I don't quite get the point of the plan you had... to pay $200 and 1 hour of usage??? I have never heard of anything like this. If the carrier can't fix it then go to some other carrier
boo hoo
I have a cell phone through t-mobile but I never heard of a plan like you describe. I would check around and see if you can get a better plan and phone with another carrier.
I think that you got rip off by this company.
You should be able to talk on the phone longer than that .
good luck to you
