What is the first thing to do when someone loses their mobile phone?

Answers: I WOULD CRY, then call my service provider to noify them of the development
cut it off call your mobile phone provider and tell them you lost ur phone and have them cut it off so no one racks up a nice bill for you
find it , take it and use there minutes !!! haha
Call your mobile server and ask to cancel the service on that phone. Then, buy a new phone and ask them to swith the number to that esn
- Call the number to see if someone picks up. It worked for me when I left it in a cab.

- If you can't find it quickly, call your carrier and have them discontinue service to that handset so nobody can use up your minutes or download expensive games and ringtones. They'll probably sell you a new phone for cheap if you agree to extend your existing contract.
CAll them asap.
Report the loss to your service provider and your local law enforcement agency.
Call your cell phone to see who answers. If someone found your phone he or she may tell you how you can recover it. That is, if you discover shortly after you lost it.
Notify the cell phone company.
First of all, call your service provider to have them suspend the line. This will prevent anyone from being able to make calls or send text messages on your phone. If your phone is insured, it is more than likely covered through insurance as loss/theft. If so, check with your cell phone insurance. There is usually a deductible. If you do not have insurance, you will have to purchase a new phone, or get one you may or may not have lying around. Number one thing to do is definitely contact your service provider asap so NO ONE racks up a large bill! Most service providers will tell you that you are responsible for any charges up until the point you called to report the phone as lost or stolen. Good luck!
