My cell phone can't locate my Bluetooth earpiece device......?

Question: I charged my earpiece for 2 hours like it said to and I followed the directions on how to turn it on and get it ready. On my phone, I went to settings, bluetooth, devices, and had it search for the device like the direction book said and it's coming up Can not locate bluetooth device Is there suppose to be something hooked into my phone and the bluetooth for it to be able to locate it or what?
Answers: typically, you need to put the bluetooth device into pairing mode. For example, on my Motorola headset, I have to hold down the button until the LED is lit up with a solid blue instead of the normal flashing light. Once it's in pairing mode, your phone should be able to find and connect to the headset.

Don't forget, you'll probably need a passkey for the headset. For example, the default passkey for Motorola headsets is 0000
I don't think there is any kind of physical connection, but try to have them in line of sight. After they find each other's presence, it might work!
