What does anyone think about the vonage phone service?
Answers: Vonage is good, and it is NOT expensive. Vonage is broadband phone service, also known as VoIP, or voice over Internet protocol. Yes you do need to have broadband cable or DSL for it to work, but at 24 dollars a month for unlimited long distance and local calling you can't beat it. VoIP phone companies don't charge alot of the hidden fee's taxes and sir charges that regular phone companies do because you are accessing the Internet directly to make your calls. Packet8 is even cheaper than Vonage and offers more features at 20 dollars a month. With VoIP being so cheap, it often will offset the cost of broadband Internet service. I used to have MCI neighborhood that usually ended up being about 80 dollars a month after taxes and fee's. My dial up ISP was another 10 dollars, making my monthly bill between the two around 90 dollars a month. I switched to broadband for 45 dollars a month and have broadvox VoIP for 20 dollars. I think it is good.But its expensive...I really want it also.But in order to have that service it works with the internet.

It's not perfect, and their customer service isn't great, but it's much less expensive than having a traditional landline. It may be worth it to you!
