What's the best mobile company out there? Is it CINGULAR, VERIZON, T-MOBILE OR SPRINT/NEXTEL??

Question: I have VERIZON now but I want to find out if there is another company better than them.
Answers: I started out almost 14 years ago with GTE Mobilnet which ended up changing to Verizon (can't remember when), but I've never had a problem with either service. I've always had good reception, etc. Now I was at Lake Berryessa and barely got a signal on my phone, which is all digital. However, my daughters, at the time, was digital & analog and with her phone we were able to get analog with no problem & good signal. At the same time, my friend had the old AT&T service (they hadn't changed their plan to Cingular at that time) and was able to get service but they also had a digital & analog phone.

It really depends on your personal preference as well as the areas in which you travel. Certain areas and certain phone service get's better reception than others. I know someone who is currently in the desert area of Nevada & his phone (which is digital) is getting great service & he is on Verizon.

I would ask people, friends, family, etc. that you travel alot with or frequent the same areas as to which phone service they have, how they like it, what the reception is like, if they are using strickly a digital phone or digital/analog, etc. to see what answer you get.

If you are happy with Verizon, why switch? My daughter use to want me to switch to Cingular so she could get a Motola Razr, I told her it wasn't worth changing networks just to get a different phone. Now Verizon has the Razrs and she has her pink Razr (she's happy). Like I said, it's a personal preference, it depends on the areas you travel/frequent, ask you family, friends, neighbors, etc. and then make your choice, but if you're happy with Verizon I wouldn't switch. I wouldn't change my service, but then again, I've been with them forever & a day and love my service.

ps: I forgot to mention, that I haven't check out the other service plans except for Cingular & Verizon and basically their plans are the same, with the exception of Cingular having the rollover minutes.
i thought cingular was good...and i know alot of people who like nextel...it's just personal preference, and which plan suits you better...
TMOBILE

BUT THE QUESTION U JUST ASKED U CANT GET A BEST ANSWER BECAUSE ITS UR CHOICE. JUST TRY THEM ALL. THEY ALL HAVE AT LEAST A 30 DAY TRIAL. THATS WHAT I DID.
i had verizon and didn't get much signal. with cingular i get it all over. my hubby is a truck driver and we have never had a prob. with it
Alltel.
verizon
I have been with Verizon for 5 years now and have never had a problem. Always good reception and great customer service!
It all depends on where you live. Reception varies based on area, and While I may live in a great area for T-Mobile, Cingular or Sprint might be better where you live. Check your coverage maps and many companies offer 30-day trials, where you can see how good reception is in your region; you just pay for the minutes that you use.

If everything else is equal, T-Mobile and Cingular use GSM technology, which is more widely adopted around the world, especially in Europe. Also GSM Carriers use SIM Cards, which make switching phones easier. Sprint-Nextel, Alltel, and most other carriers in the United States use CDMA technology for their calling. If you live in a Rural Area, CDMA has a larger analog network to fall back on.

Like I said, it all depends on where you live.
I've had T-mobile, There were problems with it. I have freinds that have Cingular And they have from time to time problems with the server. I have had Verizon wireless since Feb 26 of this year. So far I have had zero problems with it, and it is the best in my opinion.
1. Sprint
2. Cingular
3. Verizon
4. T-Mobile
Cingular becuz they're cheaper and have better phones than any company i know of.
First of all, as far as customer service goes, J.D. Power & Associates is the top award given. For the past three years, T-Mobile has earned this award. That says something. The best cell phone company just really depends on which one services in your area better. Which one has the best coverage, plans, and rates. Coverage is priority. You do not want to sign a contract with any cell phone company until you are aware of their coverage in your area, and the areas you may travel to from time to time. The best way to check the coverage out is go to each one's website. They all (usually) provide a coverage map in order for potential or existing customers to check what coverage is in their area. The best way to find out though, is to call each one's customer service department directly and advise them you are a potential customer. For instance, T-Mobile will provide you right down to the street if you are in poor, fair, good, or great coverage. And, they can tell you if you will roam off another tower. In this aspect, I would definitely first find out which carrier provides you with the best coverage. From there, I would check out their customer service ratings. After your phone is purchased and you sign a contract with a company, customer service is who you will deal with mostly. And, like I said before, T-Mobile has won the past three years. Good luck!
Cingular, Verizon then Sprint...check out www.wireless-itch.com for some great prices and deals on phones...
