Can you play/save a game without a memory card on the wii system.?

Question: I am getting one for my birth day and i need to know as much as i can about it so when i get it i know all about it i can know.
Answers: Games are saved directly on the console itself.
The Wii has 512 MB's of internal storage to save all your save data, virtual console games, ect.

The Wii also supports SD media cards, so you can expand your storage beyond the internal storage. 1 GB (1024 MB) SD cards cost around $20 - $30... depending on where you shop.
Yes you can because the Wii has an internal memory.
you don't need a memory card, which is why i love it because i'm always losing those pesky things
yes
Yes, it has internal memory so that you can save games and download Virtual Console games without needing any kind of memory card.

Keep in mind though, if you want to play Gamecube games on it you'll have to get both a Gamecube memory card and controller.
