I just got a wii, how do you access the internet or play gamecube games? tell me what i need to know?
Question: tell me more then my two questions
stuff to know, games, etc., thx
Answers: To play cube games you will need a cube controller and memory card, simply insert them into the side of the wii, the cube disk itself is simply inserted the same way as a wii disk.
Do you have a router that the wii can attach or connect to wirelessly? It doesn't do it by itself.
to get to the internet..... go to the Wii Channels screen..... then click the little Wii button on the Lower Left Hand corner.... Then click settings and then go to the next page click Internet and follow the instructions.... and the GC games you just put in the disc slot and plug you controller into the top of the console.... the is 2 plastic thingys that you can take off.... thts all i know :)
To access the internet you have 3 options.
1. If your home computer has an internet connection, and your wii is close to your computer, then you may buy a Nintendo Wifi USB adapter. Basically this will allow your wii to connect through your computers internet.
2. If you would rather connect your wii through an ethernet cable you may do that also. What you would need to purchase would be the Wii LAN adapter. For this to work you would need to plug an ethernet cable into the adapter from your high speed modem and then from the adapter into your wii.
3. The 3rd and most popular use. Is setting up a wireless router in your home. This will also give other computers (such as laptops) access to the internet as well.
And about your gamecube question. All you would need to do is pop your gamecube disk into your wii the same way you would pop in a wii disk. From there you stick a gamecube controller in the side of your wii, where the gamecube ports are.
Hope this helped :]
u need a usb cable or wireless connection
Accessing the Internet:
1) If you have an approved wireless router (go to nintendo.com) you can connect through WiFi. Go to the Wii menu to set up the connection. OR, you can buy the Nintendo WiFi connection accessory for an XP computer that can create a wireless access point.
2) You can buy a wired adapter that allows you to plug in an ethernet cable and connect it through the USB ports on the back of the Wii.
Play GC games:
Plug the controllers and memory cards into the ports on the top of the Wii. They are hidden under panels (top if the Wii is standing upright).
Insert the GC disk into the slot in the same way you would insert a Wii disk and select the Disk channel.
