Wii the most diffiuclt product for consumers to purchase ????
Question: sure i could buy one on ebay or amazon for inflated price but i'm too frugal for that.... so i lose and have nothing yet.
Not one store in my town or nearby town has Wii stocked nor do they even know when they'll get one in !
your lucky if you own one cause the rest of us are scrambling.
Any ideas ?
Answers: okay finally i found a site that will tell you when a wii console bundle will be available.
i've been watching the site for the past 3 days and so far nothing is happening but my friends purchased their wii's by using this site so good luck to the both of us
ask them if you can put your name on a list or something so you know that you will get one when they get more in.
This does two things. Ensures the store that they will sell one extra Wii and it helps you get one. you both profit from it
To buy one? Go to Ebay, Best Buy, Target, or Wal-mart.
Nintendo boss explains Wii and DS shortages and according to the online updates;
The fact is, we manufactured 4 million Wii consoles by the end of the calendar year.
That's 33333 Wii's manufactured PER DAY
and can't keep up with the world wide demand !
So people in Japan , Asia and Europe get them distributed equally with the Americans.... that sucks considering I've yet to purchase one for retail price, cause nothing is available in my town !
I would probably still be waiting on mine if I didn't pre order it, I would suggest you do the same.

Try going to a retail chain like Best Buy, Circuit City, Target etc on Sunday morning when the store opens (thats when their ad comes out), they usually have a couple to sell for their ad.
Pre-orders are for when an item in not released yet, as Wii is already released, there is no such thing as a pre order.
Don't bother with the Get your Wii for free crap, its spam!
ya i have not seen a Wii not in stock since the holidays. Where do you live? I don't know why but it seems like i am in the only place where they can't be sold (MA). and i thought that the Wii would sell amazingly here considering Gay rights and what not.
I'm having the same problem- I cannot justify buying a bundle for $450 with games a don't want and 3-4 controllers...who needs that many controllers?? Anyhow...I made a yahoo question about this too- so if I get a good response i'll share it with you......Why is the wii so hard to get? Whats the reasoning behind this at nintendo?
if you're thinking of buying a wii you should out this site first. they give you a nintendo wii for FREE! all you need to do is complete a few quick tasks for them.
You get what you put into it. I wanted a Wii on launch, so I did my homework and checked every site that I could just to see how many each stores were getting. Then I got up at 5 am in the morning and waited in line in a bad neighborhood.
If you want a Wii, you're going to have to put in a lot of effort. Visit the store every day and don't leave until all the packages have been opened. Browse the Sunday ads Saturday night and see if any stores are advertising as having the Wii for sale. Check here or gamefaqs.com and see if anyone spills the beans on when their store might be getting a Wii.
