My daughter brought a laptp it has broken twice in 9 months is she entitled to her money back?
Answers: No not her money back - she is entitled to a replacement if you got a 1 year (or more) warranty. Either the same model or a model of higher value.
If you didn't get any kind of warranty then nope. Sorry. better take it to the repair shop.
yes
if she has a 1 year warranty
maybe, but they'll make the process pure hell.
yeap
no
Depends on what you mean by broken. But even then you most likely will only be able to get it repaired especially if it is a hardware probem. If it is software then the warranty will usually not cover it.
no
does she still have warranty that can cover it? i think she should try and get her money back because that's not a good deal
Your daughter may be entitled to a refund if she has a receipt for the laptop.Otherwise,no.
Yes she should be entitled to a full replacement or her money back. Act quickly.
Yes...
Probably not. Laptops are subject to far more abuse than normal computers so they cannot be warranteed as well. If the company you bought it from has been repairing it under warranty then they have acted in good faith. If you are repairing it out of pocket then the next question is what kind of malfunction is it? If the problem is in faulty boards etc then I would press the manufacturer to replace the unit. If it is something else like broken keys, then it is probably a lost cause.
I had brought a laptop in radio shack three years ago. I had the same trouble. I was also suppose to get 150 dollars back from the company and because when I brought the laptop they never gave me a box for the laptop, they said I was not going to get 150 dollars back from the company. I will never by anything else from radio shack again. my laptop was always having trouble, now I have a laptop and can not use it.
i dont think so
no... if the fault had happened within the 28 days of purchase she would be. but now it is the manufactures problem and they will not refund you only repair or exchange it if it can not be fixed but this is only for 12months after purchase. if she had extended warranty with the company she bought it with she could probably get an exchange. i had a apple powerbook g4 and it broke down 3 times and because i buy a lot of items from PC world they exchanged IT for a Sony vaio.
Unfortunately not. Hopefully you bought a extended warranty on the laptop and she can have it repaired or replaced depending on the problem with the laptop. Some people think that extend service plans are a scam but they usually are not as long as you buy your product from a reputable company. If you have not there is not too much that you can do.
Depends if its under warranty and if the particular problem is covered. If so, she's either going to get a replacement or her current one repaired.
Hope this helps, and Good Luck!
No, and she should have any more if she keeps breaking them
yes, justreturn the laptop to the store are sue them for the lemon product they sold to you
What's that smell? Smells like toshiba. Good luck getting ur $$ back. The manufacturer will say its warrantied for repair, not replacement. Best bet is to contact their customer service and demand that they extend your warranty, due to the amount of time that it's been unusable because it was broke.
