I want to find an enexpensive timer relay switch or other device to control up to 8 relays?

Question: I want to control an animated display for christmas. Basically it is a toy soldier who will turn 90 degrees then fire his rifle. Then a lighted deer near by will fall over and its lights will go off. This will utilize nearly 8 relays.
Answers: Try one of these:

Jameco Electronics @ www.jameco.com
Quest Components @ www.questcomp.com
Four Star Electronics @ www.4starelectronics.com

Or you could always visit your local Radio Shack. I get almost all of my parts from Jameco though.
I think Sears can help you with this.
I used a circuit board device with several relays built in for a cycling sprinkler system. I also used the same type of device for cycling a dust filter purging system. I think the industrial supplier W. W. Grainger has these available.
Check out this website. These are not hard to program.

I use the allen bradley eqivalent (PICO control) at work and they are great.

There are a whole range of different products you can choose from I suggest searching computer controlled lighting to maybe research more of what you have in mind but here is a couple suggestions.
