100watt bulb, how many amp are they?

Answers: Assuming you are using 120 volts, a 100 watt bulb will draw .83 amps.
Amps = Watts / Volts.
So, in a 240 volt system, 100/240 = 0.42ish A
Depends on what voltage they are. A 100 watt bulb at ten volts DC would be ten amps of current draw. A 100 watt bulb at 120 volts AC would be somewhere around . 6 amps....The load in an ac circuit doesnt draw quite as much current. AC voltage cycles to a zero volts condition every half of a cycle. It peaks twice during one cycle. The equation for figuring out current draw in an ac circuit is different than in a dc circuit. The difference in draw is minimal so most people use the dc equation to find the current draw. Are you satisfied Dmb?
....AC volts dont draw quite as much current.

Justify your statement.
