How to fax internationally?

Question: i live in america and i want to fax to england. is fax secure?
Answers: Most store I've seen with fax machines, such as Mailboxes Etc. and the UPS Store, will fax internationally for you (for a fee of course). That's probably the best and cheapest solution if you want to send only one or just an occasional fax.

If you want to send a lot of faxes, you'll probably want to invest in a combination scanner/printer/fax. The can be used by themselves or be hooked into your computer. They're available at Wal Mart in the electronics section starting at about $90 and goes up from there. What you get get depends on your budget and features you want. You'll have to set the machine to dial the international calling code first, see your phone book for details.

There's software that'll convert files scanned from your computer scanner into a fax format, then send it to any fax machine in the world using a dialup modem built into many computers. Sending a fax internationally requires that you dial the country prefix, too.

Don't count on it. See all of the news stories about the NSA and other government agencies monitoring international phone calls.

In any case if you're sending to an office oversees, chances are the worker bees look over the faxes as they come out of the machine, and the secretary will do so anyway.
