How do i get a faster dial up?
Answers: as far as dial up goes, the fastest you can possibily get is 56K. in reality though, your doing very good to get 40k. if its much slower than that, you have to get the phone company to check your phone lines, of course they may charge you, especially if it is due to your internal lines.
other than that, as others have said, switch to DSL, or cable. There are some very good deals on DSL these days, probably less than you are paying for dial up. if you want the ultimate speed, go cable! it much more expensve though (about $50. depending on where you live).
get DSL ... my verizon/yahoo DSL is $14.95 a month
you can't dial up is always slow get bradband or high speed internet
Check juno.com, and similar, for optimized internet dial-ups. Makes the dial-up system faster for surfing and general emails.
Or go DSL, for downloads.
