How do i connect a 3phasemotot oo singlephase supply without ucing AC drive?
Question: Iwant to connect a motor 3 phase to operate on 240 volts power supply. I dont have a 3phase power supply . Is my motor useless with out 415 volts supply?
Answers: Not sure what you mean by AC drive , but you will need a phase converter to get 3 phase from single phase, and possibly a transformer to get the right voltage. Some motors can be connected to different voltages, but you need to have the right voltage (within some tolerance). I'm not sure what 415V is. Standard 3 phase voltages include 480V, 240V, and 208V. I've heard of 460V motors and maybe 440V, for use on 480V, but 415 seems low for that.
