After hanging my TV on the wall what do I do with the receiver?

Question: I put my plasma tv on the wall but I still have a stand for my dvd player and my directv receiver. I thoght the point in hanging it on the wall was to eliminate the stand. What the hell should I do with the rest of it hang it sideways on the wall next to it?
Answers: I am active in home theater professional installs and by far the best thing to do with the components is to place them in a cabinet or closet and run an (infrared) IR eye below the television in the wall. The IR eye is very small and is usually not noticed by others. You will be able to control every component directly in-front of your new plasma.

As for the DVD player, it is pretty essential to keep the DVD player accessible. There are a number of mounts that are on the market that add class and distinction to the TV (home theater).

Overall, I tend to place ALL the components in a nearby closet and simply run an IR eye and use a universal remote.
We had the same problem so we put everything in the basement (dvd player, directv receiver etc) and bought a Infrared Remote Extender - check out the details here.

btw - it works greattttttttt!
