Which is better rg59 cable or rg6?
Answers: RG6 is only slightly more expensive than RG59 but significantly better. RG6 is REQUIRED for Satellite and Digital Cable TV.
You should also be aware there is “Quad-shield RG6” cable available. The “Residential Telecommunications Cabling Standard” recommends “Quad-shield RG6” cable.
I would think Quad-shield RG6 cable would only be necessary for very long distances of cable.
both are acceptible 75Ohm standard coax cables. They vary in there conductant material and insulation slightly. You can see a break down of specifics here:

RG6 quad shield or low loss if you can find that.
