How do i get better am/fm recieption on my home reciever?
Answers: You need a specially designed external FM directional antenna (Radio Shack, about $65). Put it in your attic if you don't want it on the roof, and run the coax antenna wire up inside the wall. You'll need to try aiming th eantenna in different directions for th ebest reception. I have two of these in my house and it works well. Of course, you need to start with a decent receiver. Many modern receivers have terrible FM reception (much worse than the had 20 yrs ago). Try Onkyo or Denon if you have the bucks.
AM and FM reception can be enhanced by setting up external antennas for each band. Your radio receiver's owner's manual should have the details of how to do it.
You can find am/fm boosters for you reciever or try a beter antina
use an external antenna, even an amplified version
radio shack should have some.
