How to connect computer speakers to television through compuer???

Question: I have a logitech, 6.1 or perhaps 5.1 sounds system with subwoofer and all. I need to hook these up to my television (LCD sharp 32 ). I also want to be able to hear television through these speakers and when im on my computer i need these speakers to work. My television in my computer screen monitor... someone please help THANKS
Answers: one easy way would be to purchase a preamp to take care of all of this but if you do not want to purchase that then you will need a tv-tuner card so that all the sound can come out of your tv. if you use the rca plugs (red, white) on the back of your tv you will only get the sound from your tv while if you use the jack on the back of your computer you will only get your pc's sound. id recommend getting a pre/amp that can handle inputs from multiple devices and then all you do is hit a simple button to select the different input. they can range in price from 50 bucks to thousands of dollars. i just purchased one for 150 on ebay. if you want a good quality one of audiophile quality, search the names of adcom, rotel, nad, denon, parasound. you do not need an amplifier since your speakers are already amplified so the pre/amp will do the trick. if you are not satisfied these items hold their value extremely well and you can sell it right back on ebay for little to no loss. hope this helped
If your television has audio rca outputs you can run the rca from the tv to any audio input on the computer,if you have a soundcard that has audio inputs that would be perfect,or if your computer sound system has an amp or a main speaker usually a subwoofer that has uadio inputs that will work too.Basically you just need to find any audio input on your computer or computer speakers, and run RCA from your TV or VCR to it
Surf is right. If you don't buy a pre amp it will sound fuzzy or distant even at full volume. Sony has a amp for this very thing under $200. You can find it at www.bestbuy.com.
