Wireless Media Player Question?

Question: To get down to things, I can't connect my computer to my TV because my TV's refresh rate is too low (it's an older tv). I have a bunch of vidoes (and some music) in .avi format that I would like to view on my TV. So I was looking at a Wireless media player (like the D-Link DSM-320). My only concern is if I will still experience the same refresh rate (with any media player) problems (like white lines across the screen going up and down) as I did with my computer? I bought a DivX player, but it doesn't play all of the formats that I want to play properly (sound skips and stuff like this).

Thanks in advance.
Answers: In short, no. I have a Prismiq media player hooked to a 15 year-old TV and it works without a hitch. The only problem you may have is that your wireless network may not keep up. I have a wired network and it hiccups everyonce in a while, but then again, I may just have a crappy router...
