My clean, new VCR has static on premium tapes that I have recorded on.How can avoid/remedy this?

Answers: Your VCR is not recording tracking pulses. That's why the time counter doesn't progress. Probably a dirty tracking head. And no - cleaning tapes do not work. It needs repair.
There should be an adjustment for tracking . Try that and see if it helps.

i think you are going thru a satellite or cable box if you are then their could be interference that way. send me what you have got and the connections and ill see what is wrong
