My speaker wire has a gold colored strand and a silver one?

Question: but does not designate which should be hooked to the positive and negative terminals on my receiver or speakers. Does anyone know which color strand goes on which terminal.
Answers: It really doesn't matter. The main reason for the two different colors is so you keep them straight when hooking them up. Gold pos. on amp to Gold pos on speaker, and so forth.

positive and the silver one for the negative.
