What dvd-r/dvd+r are best value for money?
Question: Been using tescos dvd-r as they were on offer. Running low need to buy more. Been searching on line for good deals but not sure which makes are good. Had problems in past with samsung and ended up binning them.
Answers: Verbatim. Buy the bulk spindels. You can get 50 for about 20 bucks and they work in every single dvd player I have came across. Chances are you wont be making any coasters with them.
I buy cheap ones from Lidl and have had no problems at all. I did have problems with some (expensive) Sony ones so stick to the cheapies.
This is where I get mine. You find the more you buy the cheaper it gets
Basically it doesn’t make much of a difference in these days the +/- difference started because Sony used the - technology and some other companies used the + technology but in these days all the DVD writers can read and write both +/- so it doesn’t make any difference.
I usually buy spindles like 50 pack or 100 pack so I get them cheap under £20 including postage I suggest not to go for high price because if they turn out to be faulty you can just bin them.
I use Ebay or www.dabs.com on dabs you can get a particular brand which I don’t remember they are not + or – this will be decided when we actually write the DVD according to the data we write on it, try to go through their site in DVD’s section you might find them if you are lucky and the good part is they are the most cheapest you can get on their site so they usually go out of stock very quickly. This saves the hassle to decide to use a +DVD or a –DVD.
