How do i get rid of rear speaker hum ?

Question: I have a panasonic sc ht940 surround sound system,
the rear speakers are plugged into a rear speaker transciver and I get the hum from the rear speakers
Answers: speker hum can happen when you have your volume turned up too loud but if you turn it down and it still hums you have permantly damaged it
maybe the cable which connects ur speakers to ur set box is damaged happend to me on a set or normal speakers b4 just replaced the cable with a beter 1 got sum good new ones out if ur lookin for good sound quality go for the dearest. but like the previous comment says may just b turnedup too loud
Your rear speaker transciever is wireless? RF? unplug the tranmitter portion of the set and check for effect on hum. If it's still there ther the problem is your local amp, and is either cheap, or turned up to high. The hum is usualy 60 Hz power line hum, and is induced into the system through the amps power supply.
Increase the signal strength being sent out and turn your amp down.
