I have a PS3 and a Mitsubishi 50 inch HDTV, I wanna use 1050 res but i get only 768.. i want the top res.?

Question: How can I play using 1050 and what's the difference between the 1050 and the 768 res?!
Answers: Its 1080, anyway your TV needs to be able to display a 1080p image to start with (there are 2 kinds 720p and 1080p the difference is how many pixels or lines are displayed to make the picture the more lines you have the clearer the picture) next you need to use the HDMI cable to get it.
Check if your mitsubishi TV can REALLY handle 1080p signals. Most TVs claim to be HDTV ready but can only handle 720p (which is also considered as high definition or HD).
To be more precise there is 720p , 1080i and 1080p. It's a matter of preference for some people. 1080p is the highest standard at this point. HD-DVD and Blu Ray DVD support these resolutions.
check your television to figured out the resolution 720p , 1080i and 1080p. some people use the standard is 720p and . 1080p is the highest DVD and Blue Ray DVD support these resolutions.
