How to finalize a DVD-R disk?
Question: I cam play a dvd+rR disk on my recorder but I can't play it on any other DVD player
Answers: I guess different recorders have different ways to finalize. Some just require you to eject the disk and before ejecting the recorder will automatically finalize it for you. (This works for DVD+R recorders) Other way is to go to the disk information in the set up menu and choose the finalized option. You will have to read your manual that came with your recorder, as not all machines are the same. Another thing to remember is that even if you do finalize, the format you recorded on does not mean that everyone can view it on their own DVD players. Check what format you recorded in and what format the other DVD player is compatible with.
