Connect an eq to new sony receiver?

Question: i bought a new sony receiver, and discovered i cannot connect my equalizer, because the receiver doesnt have a tape monitor, or pre-amp in or out, how can i connect it to this receeiver
Answers: You can connect it through your VCR terminals on your receiver. If you have a VCR that you're using through your receiver already, you can connect the EQ to the receiver, and put the audio portion of the VCR throught he EQ and the video directly to the receiver. Or you could do the same with your cable box or Direct TV provided that it has RCA inputs and outputs for audio.

Or, if you want it more for playing CDs and DVDs (than use for your TV and VCR), then you have to use the DVD player's analog audio Left and Right outputs to the EQ and then connect your EQ's output to your receiver's DVD audio Left and Right inputs.
