How can I open a Bose Lifestyle 30 receiver unit? The CD cartridge is stuck.?
Question: It makes a high pitched buzzing sound anytime power is put to it.
Answers: I work at a HiFi shop and that is a very common problem with the older LS systems. Your best bet is to take it where you bought it, they made need to replace the cartridge but it is usually a cheap fix. If thats not the problem, and it is too much to fix, you can always add an external CD player.
You should never open or attempt to fix electronic devices if you have not had professional training. Also, even if you were able to remove the cartridge, it could simply happen again. Call Bose and locate a local service center.
