Why i cannot make any long distance calla from my home landline phone?

Question: it gives my bussy tone even for north america or overseas
Answers: call the phone company and see if you have a long distance block on that number.
contact your line provider and ask, you may not have overseas facility, they can turn it on for you no problem - check that they won't charge you more for your monthly line tho
Are you using the international country code before dialing? Does the phone plan block all long distance calls?
You don't have a long distance plan with your phone. You need a long distance provider, if you already have one, call them about it.
You didn't pay your bill in full for a few months.
check your phone some phone were made with blocker on them there maybe a switch on it
This relates to USA

To call long distance you need to pre-subscribe to a long distance company. Then you may dial long distance

If you do not want to pre-subscribe to a long distance company you may dial long distance using dial around service. Here are two sites with excellent dial around services:

1) Acceris (postpaid) http://www.accerisdialaround.com/
2) Tel3 (prepaid) http://www.tel3com.com/
You have long distance blocking.
Try calling the operator tell them you have a prob they would prob help or tell you that long distance is not allowed.
