Whats better than ATT land line service for cost an service?

Answers: I switched from AT&T back in August due to bad customer service, unexplainable charges on my bill, and horrendous DSL technical support.

I switched to MCI, and I love them!

The calling plans fit every need (I have the Neighborhood Unlimited for $49.99, but they also have 500 and 200 minute plans).

I love the calling features, which are included: voice mail, call waiting, call waiting caller ID, Caller ID, speed dial, 3 way calling.

I especially love the voice mail, because you can receive emails at work or to your cell telling you what number has called you. You also have the option of listening to your voice mail over the computer via their website.

Customer service is outsourced to the Phillipines. They aren't very bright, and they will give you a full month's credit if you find a discrepancy on your bill. I got in the habit of scrutinizing my bill when I had AT&T.

My September bill was $7.00. I called them to tell them they made a billing error. They apologized and gave me a month's credit for the inconvenience! My December bill, I was overcharged for a feature I signed up for (Call Manager). They gave me a $53 credit.

They don't offer DSL, but I found out last month, they are bringing it back.
you could try Vonage http://vonage.com/index.php?ic=1
guess it depends on where you live...my only option is verizon and i pay about $60 a month w/unlimited long distance, distinct rings, caller id,call waitingw/caller id, call forwarding etc...etc...i live in a small town in the country so anywhere i would have called outside of town would be long distance for me..so this was the best plan for me....
MCI has a very good service unlimited long distance and all calling features the only downfall is that they don't offer dsl
