How do i recover my data from my mp3 player?
Question: I've a hard disk based mp3 player with 20GB capacity. I've accidentally spoilt my mp3 player's USB port. I've important documents saved in my mp3 player. How can i recover them?
Answers: I'd need more info to answer... But i figure it is not an ipod because it has an usb port. So if it has screws it can be fixed, you just open it pull out the broken piece and replace it with the usb port of an old pen drive you no longer like. If it sounds too complicated take it to your nearest computer repair shop, they know how to do that.
i dont think u can dude..u have 2 start it all over...
Probably one of the only way to retrieve the documents is to replace the USB cord. Then go into my computer and see if program files opens. Then you would have to enter a number of folders to find what u r looking for.
m8 when its gone its gone...
Take it to have it repaired. Alot of places are specializing in ipod repair nowadays, and even if your mp3 player isn't an ipod they may still be able to help you. Look on yellowpages.com to see if there is an ipod/mp3 player repair service in your city. If not, there are a few available online. http://www.pdasmart.com does ipod, Palm, and blackberry repair. I'm sure they can handle your little device. Usually you can have it shipped, repaired, and back with in a week. JUST MAKE SURE you tell them just to fix the usb port and NOT to erase your data. (Some places don't guarantee this, but I'm sure they will at least try to save your data).
Good luck.
