How do I get my iPod shuffle to work?
Question: I bought an apple iPod yesturday. I put the CD in the computer and downloaded iTunes. I also transferred about 350 songs from CD's and my other media player onto there. I went to charge my iPod like the instrutions said and the iPod started blinking orange.I came back after a few hours and it was still like that so I left it in overnight thinking it might just take a while to charge (although the manuak said it should only take about 4 hours to fully charge). The next morning it was still blinking orange and it wouldn't register in iTunes like it wouldn't show up in the sources but i could see it in the removable disc file on My Comupter Now I dont know what to do. Has anyone had this same problem? Does anyone have any advice?
Answers: You have a defective unit. Take it back to where you bought it and get a different one.
Happens all the time, this stuff is built by subcontractors, and they sometimes get it wrong (more often than you think)
You might want to reconsider the shuffle anyway... there are better options out there, you don't have to buy one just because everyone else has one.

i am a shuffler too.
i don't remember if the pod keeps blinking over a long time.. when you disconnect the pod from pc and press on the battery button, what color lights up? if it's green, it's fully charged and you don't need to worry. does it function properly as it should? if it does, then i don't think you need to worry about it.
You may want to send it back. I had ALOT of trouble with my iPOD shuffle and we took it back and they just gave us a new one. And it worked.
You probally have to update the Itunes. I have a Shuffle too and everyone in a while the Itunes updates with a Updater. But when you plug in the Shuffle you should see a little icon on the left side and you have to press it and tell from where you want the songs to upload into the Shuffle.
