Does anyone know if the new Video iPod will work with my computer?
Question: I have a Dell, I bought it in 2000, and this is what I know. The systems are : Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002, and Service Pack 2. The computer has Intel Pentium III processor
598 MHz, 128 MB of RAM
Answers: As taken from the iPod Web site:
iPod
Windows system requirements
PC with USB port or card (USB 2.0 recommended)
Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 or later, or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
iTunes (you'll need this program to put songs / video on your iPod)
Windows Requirements
Windows XP or 2000 (latest service packs recommended)
500 MHz Pentium class processor or better
QuickTime 7.0.4 (included)
256MB RAM
Supported CD-R or DVD-R drive to burn CDs
Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming music
It's recommended you have at least 256 MB of ram. It might run with 128, but probably slow. You might want to look into upgrading your ram. That's only area that you're lacking in terms of hardware requirements. Otherwise, it looks like you're good to go. Enjoy =)
I answered your previous question, yes you can.
