If a LCD/HDTV supports 1080i and 1080p resolution, does it support 480p by the default or not?

Question: I want to buy this Samsung lcd/hdtv, and I was checking their site for the tv the model which is (ln-s3278) 27 ,and it says in the SPECS area that ir has 1080i/1080p resolution support but nothing about 480p does this mean it does not support 480p or it could be an information error of their part thanks for asnwering.
Answers: All LCDs will accept 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i inputs. If it says 1080p, then that too.
All LCD TVs will scale the picture to the native resolution (smart zoom feature on LCD sets).

So when you watch a 480 show and have the zoom on, the tv will do some fancy line doubling (not exactly doubling) to get a picture that fits the screen. Obviously, there will be some distortion when you use this mode.
